My Work

Work

SWING DRESSER
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Toronto

I was the swing dresser for the Toronto run of the Cursed Child. As the swing dresser, it was my responsibility to learn all nine of the dressing tracks. The challenge was to be vigilant enough to be able to step into any of the tracks at any given moment of the play. I learned valuable lessons in working well under pressure, and gained communication skills through working closely with various production departments, as well as the performers. HPCC Toronto played at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre between 2022 - 2023 and it holds the record for the longest running professional play in Canadian history.

PROJECTION DESIGNER
Heal Projection Instillation

A holographically-mapped video installation that brings reminders of our inner power, potential and beauty through the profound wisdom of West Asia. Embodying Rumi’s whispering spirit, our glowing words are meant to be burned into the memory of passerbyers – be one of them. Live as an empty cup and return to that wonder once lost in childhood. A mystic, neo-noir encounter by Toronto-based artists Maziar Ghaderi and Asli Ozuak. Funded by Associated Designers of Canada, Canada Arts Council and the Theatre Centre. Showcased at the Theatre Centre in 2021.

ASSOCIATE COSTUME DESIGNER and WARDROBE COORDINATOR White Girls in Moccasins

As the assistant costume designer and coordinator for WGIM, I was responsible for overseeing the creating the wardrobe for the characters. The costumes were designed to alternate effectively between the base layers they wore and also the additional characters the players took on. The show was a split between childhood stories of how Miskozi was raised and a Wheel of Fortune inspired gameshow.

COSTUME DESIGNER
naⱡa

Designed and made the costumes for this contemporary dance piece about breaking down the multiplicities of our identities. Choreographed by Samantha Sutherland.

Lighting design by Emerson Kafarowski
Set design by Julia Kim

COSTUME DESIGNER
Reliance

I designed and created the costumes for Reliance choreographed by Jera Wolfe. The costumes were inspired by a deep forest on a cold winter day. All of the costumes were asked to belong to the same world of grey tones . After shopping and building the garments, I put them in a grey dye bath and the results were a sea of grey garments. Performed at the Ryerson Theatre in 2019.
